Lukhozi appointed to improve Eastern Cape healthcare facilities
Lukhozi Consulting Engineers has been appointed by the Eastern Cape Department of Health for the Infrastructure Improvements, Alterations, and Additions to Healthcare facilities within the province.
This project is fundamental to protecting the well-being of South Africans and their families and will provide them with equal access to comprehensive healthcare.
Through this project, Lukhozi Consulting Engineers will help to improve healthcare facilities throughout five critical clusters in the Eastern Cape.
This includes 32 clinics and community health center’s, three hospitals, one medical depot, and three mortuaries across the following clusters:
- Nelson Mandela Bay Health Sub-District A
- Nelson Mandela Bay Health Sub-District B
- Nelson Mandela Bay Health Sub-District C
- Buffalo City Health Sub-District East London
- Amathole Health Sub-District Raymond Mhlaba
This vital work will take place over three years, during which time Lukhozi Consulting Engineers will support the Eastern Cape Department of Health in its endeavor to improve the facilities in these clusters.
A key objective of this project is to introduce the Ideal Clinic initiative to these facilities – a strategy designed to ensure clinics have good infrastructure, adequate staff and supplies, and are operating efficiently.
Lukhozi Consulting Engineers is proud to be part of this project, providing mechanical & electrical, structural and civil engineering services to enhance and upgrade the quality of healthcare in the Eastern Cape.
