Calfonia Roads and Stormwater

Lukhozi Consulting Engineers has been appointed by the Sakhisizwe Municipality to upgrade 5km of gravel roads to a paved surface, standard with associated stormwater infrastructure in Cala, Ward 5.

The services include the planning, design, and construction of the project. The project entails the upgrading of 5 km of existing gravel internal roads to paved surface roads in a number of phases. To date, approximately 720m of the road has been completed with phase two currently underway.

As part of the project, local SMME sub-contractors are involved in the construction of the project. The greatest challenges faced in this program are dealing with the local communities.  Lukhozi has built great trust with the local communities and is executing this project.

The construction value of the project is  ± R30 million. The project is on-going and will be constructed over a number of phases.
